Hoi An Vietnam Sunday 5th October, 2014

A real nothing day today, full rest. Woke up to overcast day then by about mid afternoon wind got up and we had a heavy shower, it soon went through but still very windy. It didn't make any difference to us as we had decided to rest today. PT wanted to watch the car racing which was in Japan which was called off due to heavy rain, so we then watch some of the Beijing tennis. Went for a couple of walks around the estate and that was about it.

PT trying out  his selfie  skills.........
You can see in this photo how the ranch sliders work,  just inside the railing. with them open, an outside deck, with them closed, an inside deck. Works well.

Went down to the beach front when the high winds got up before the rain came. We were looking out to sea saying looks like rain in the distance thinking that it was a long way away. Decided to go over the road to buy some beer for tonight and just got across the road and very heavy rain appeared.
These are the sand bags that I mention before which they had to put along the main beach front after the typhoon 18 months ago. This is a different beach that we have been swimming at.

There is a store across the road which we use a bit to buy our beer etc.and have got quite friendly with the young girl over there.  As the heavy rain came while we were there, we were waiting in her shop before we went back to the hotel and suddenly she ran out pulled up one of her sun umbrellas to take us across the road. Everyone was laughing .  They always want to please us. Nice people. I was under this also but ducked out to take the photo.

The rain has gone through now but still looking stormy out to sea and some big swells coming in. It hasn't interrupted our day, quite nice to have some relief from the hot sun. When the sun is out you can't sit outside in it. Its too exhausting. At least it stays warm although the rain and wind has reduced the temperature a little, very pleasant. So you can see, a real nothing day. Just what we needed.

A very relaxed man.
