This is my last blog leaving HongKong so I am going back to post it now as I was half way through it at Hong Kong Airport. ( I think that I may have E- Mailed this from China so you would have already read it but you wouldn't have seen the photos.
Left the Hotel Panorama after four nights in Hongkong at 9.00am. Really enjoyed the hotel very convenient to everything 5 mins walk to the waterfront, 10 mins to Nathan Rd.
With our upgrade to the Executive Club they gave us all those extras I previous mentioned and the staff couldn't do enough for us and when we left we just went up to lounge to check out without standing around downstairs waiting our turn. It sure has its advantages to book club rooms.
We were deciding whether to take the taxi to the airport or have the experience in the fast express train from Kowloon direct to airport. It certainly was the way to go, you check in your luggage at the station then hop on the train which took about 23 mins without worrying dealing with your luggage very relaxing way to go.
When we checked in at the station I said I think we are booked in row 10 and the chap said no I will put you in business class in row 2 with an invitation to use Hong Kong Air business class lounge. Not sure how that happened but there we are sitting in luxury starting my blog. A good way to fill in two hours.Feeling a little hungry so will go and help myself to some goodies soon
inside the Express train to Hong Kong Airport. We both said these seats are more comfortable than the seats on our flight up with Cathay Pacific.
Shots taken from the train as we left Kowloon

Look at all those apartments. There are hundreds of them.
Yesterdays paper front page news maybe this is what we need in Auckland. Take note Len Brown.
This is the way to relax before a flight doing my blog
Sitting in lounge started my days blog but didn't post as thought I would do that once we were in Shanghai. At that stage didn't realise we wouldn't be able to access my blog ...so I will finish leaving Hong Kong .
Got on board running 20 mins late taxied down this long run way stopped to be told that the sixth plane in front of us had to abort its take off and there was another 25 min delay while we were sitting in the queue while they had to inspect the run way. At this stage there were nine planes behind us in the line.
How about these controls to alter your seat a big treat after those seats we had on Cathay on the way up that didn't even recline.
So much space.
Business class had 24 seats but only twelve people (and 2 of those were pilots for the return flight back to Hong Kong) with three girls serving . The are all so polite bowing at you every time they talk to us.
The flight was two hours not long enough to enjoy all this luxury.
So by the time we arrived at Shanghai we were over an hour late and hoping our pick up would still be there. Well on entering the arrival hall hundreds off pick ups with names flying everywhere on both sides of the aisle so PT looked down one side and I looked down the other finally relieved that I saw our names. We were delivered to our hotel and when our guide checked us in there was no booking for us. Great start to China but after an hour of sitting in the hotel foyer waiting we got a room and they upgraded us to club room. Finally settled in our room by 6.00pm. Tomorrow will be our big sightseeing day with the guide in Shanghai.
